Starting tomorrow, I'll start moving my belongings to a temporary apartment as the search for a house in the Alsace region in France continues, as I wrote about in my previous blog entry. Getting all of the logistics organised for this move is still an ongoing process, even as the process of packing up at the old apartment is winding down.
My hope is that by the next weekend, everything will be at the new place, so that during the last week of this month I can finally end another less fun chapter in my life. Hopefully I'll be finally free of the old apartment and its slumlord after five years of struggling to find a new place, dealing with an eviction despite no debts or other reasons, etc.
There's still a lot of work to be done to get me over to the new place, with any bit of help appreciated, but this should be the first big improvement in my life in a long, long time.
Also tomorrow I'll be looking at this house in the Alsace for which I have a chance of being allowed to rent it. If that works out, then in a matter of weeks I'll be moving again, hopefully for the final time for a long time.
With living in a small French village also comes having to get a car, meaning that I'm comparing various used cars at this point, with plug-in hybrids looking especially attractive due to the low running and maintenance costs. This means that for the coming time I'll be spending quite a bit of money to set myself up.
This month is also the first month that I'm officially a freelancer. I'm still trying to find my way, of course, but there are many options open to me. Hopefully by next month I'll have that stable income in addition to a nice, quiet working environment.
I have set up a Patreon account [1] for those who want to support my efforts with finally finishing my autobiography, as well as maybe supporting a career as a writer. Feel free to have a look there and maybe toss a few bucks per month my way if you feel so inclined :)
Another thing I have been meaning to set up for a few years now, but haven't found the time yet, is a YouTube channel for Nyantronics [2], with a focus on electronics, software and science. Both Nyantronics projects, but also for general education, tear downs and all of the usual things.
Feel free to support me on Patreon, or donate to me directly. Or help out with these two moves the coming weeks and I'll make sure that there's free pizza for everyone :)

My new Android game development book just got published
Two days ago, to be precise, saw the official publication of my new book on game development on Android with the AndEngine framework, creatively titled "Mastering AndEngine Game Development". It's available for purchase both at the Packt[1] and Amazon[2] store. This is my first book to be published with Packt Publishing, a large publisher of Open Source-related programming books and similar.
Some of those who follow me may remember me talking about working on this book for the last year and some. Admittedly it's been a long time to finish it up, not in the least because of the many others happening simultaneously to me personally and in my career. Yet it is all done and over with. No more chapter writing, no more revising. No more pleading with editors for just an extra day to finish up a chapter. It's all done with.
To be fair, it feels kind of empty. All of it has been part of my life for over a year and thus it has become part of my routine as well as my thoughts. To think about never having to do any of those things again... it's weird how much it makes you long back to that period.
I guess this should be just more motivation for me to work on my other activities and hobbies, like the countless projects I have left either unfinished, or haven't started on yet. Some projects I'd really like to spend more time on would include my NGS custom processor architecture project and the resulting design and production of a custom FPGA board for it. Also the file-revision system, YouTube electronics channel (NyanTronics), speech synthesis and artificial intelligence projects. That before I even get into the many game development projects I wish to embark on or continue with.
At least I won't get bored any time soon. The last project I need to work on soon is to find a more quiet place to move into. It's hard to focus on projects, let alone feel relaxed when you have the bloody heating system ticking up a storm and can track the upstairs neighbours literally step by step, including their activities in the kitchen, bathroom and toilet. Truly enjoyable and motivating, that.
But those are things which will hopefully work themselves out at some point, hopefully through some lucky contacts and such.
I am curious how many copies of this new book of mine (both dead-tree and digital) will be bought over the coming months and year(s). Maybe it'll motivate me to try my hand at writing more of such books, or maybe not. I may go back to writing my autobiography again at some point as well, but that would require both a willing publisher and me feeling like I can write it without writing myself into a suicidal depression through the fun of remembering everything leading up to a disappointing conclusion. In that regard writing technical reference books makes for a lot more fun.

Working, Searching For A Job And Exhaustion
It's been nearly two weeks since I last wrote anything on my blog. The main reason for this is that I have been and still am exceedingly busy. Busy with lots of things. Most recently trying to find a job as I need income, and fast. But also with trying to finish some more games to sell, as I need income, and fast. Also busy with making this new relationship I have found myself in work. And realizing how desperately I need to move on with things. I need that income, my own place. My own life.
There's also the whole media thing. I'm a whistle-blower for the horrors inflicted upon intersex individuals by Dutch physicians. I'm the first legally recognized hermaphrodite in Europe. The media in the Netherlands is still having a hard time coming to terms with this whole situation. I can not blame them. It took me seven years to fully grasp what was going on. Last Friday an article on me, my struggles and me suing the VUMC hospital's gender team for starters appeared in prestigious Dutch newspaper NRC Handelsblad. This resulted in two Dutch TV stations, EO and VARA, contacting me for a possible appearance on their respective news and talk shows. I had expected them to give me a date today for an interview, but either they do not wish to cover the story, or it's taking them longer to decide due to the massive nature of it.
In all of this and with my huge background story it doesn't feel like I ever truly had time to... be myself. As a child I didn't know what was going on. There was only the pressure to move ahead with my life, go through primary and high school. College. All those things 'normal' people do. I left a large part of myself behind back there in the 1980s. A scared little child lost in the dark forest with big, hungry wolves roaming around.
Now it's an income I need. Money. The good thing is that if I do manage to land a job I feel comfortable in, I should have my own place. Financial security. Social contacts. No more being a burden on my mother and vice versa. All the room I should need to hopefully find that aspect of myself again of which I can not even remember any more what it looks or feels like.
In all of this my body also makes it well-known that it can not take much more. From the bags underneath my eyes, constant headaches and stomach pains to the locked up and painful muscles, general sensation of exhaustion, constant canker sores inside my mouth and feeling so cold that I'm freezing to death.
Winning a battle or two doesn't mean you have won the war. It merely means that you haven't lost all the battles. Not that you have won or will ever win the war. Even for relative values of 'winning'.

A Different World~
Last night I slept quite well, thankfully. I woke up feeling nothing more than quite sore still from the night before. I slumbered until 10.45 AM, only to discover then that last night summer time ended and the clocks had to be turned back by one hour :P
Pieter left for his parents for a birthday party not long after I got up so I had the house to myself. So what did I decide to do? Geeking out, of course! :D For the ReactOS project I had to arrange some more things for the new installer sub-project (ROSE) I'm managing. I didn't get to write much more of the specification today, however. I should get it over with soon so that I can get the people I recruited for this sub-project something to do other than setting up a development and/or testing environment.
I also planned to do some Japanese to English translation work today on some Japanese manga (comic), but didn't get to it either. I promised I'd get the first chapter of it done by today, so I feel kind of guilty again.
So what did I do today? Organizing the ROSE project, setting up the Nyanko Intranet servers, planning a new project I've been toying with for a while already called Koneko, and organizing some other projects as well as planning next week work-wise.
The new Nyanko Intranet is really shaping up nicely now. I've been using the hardware which was lying around already to create two servers, one a Sempr0n... er, sorry Sempron :P 2800+ with 1 GB RAM, a small OS HDD and a 160 GB RAID 1 array. The other system is an Athlon X2 4450E with 4 GB RAM and a 120 GB RAID 1 array which'll be the primary server, running the SSH forwarding service (unless a security audit proves that a separate physical system is better), HTTP, FTP, SVN, MySQL and so on. The other server is used to provide mirroring of critical data on the primary server. Off-line backups will be made on HDDs in a rotating fashion (not re-using the same backup media twice in a row). Off-site backups are being planned.
I'm still looking for a new 3D modelling guy; the first one I contacted hasn't replied yet so far. Trevor is pretty much done with the game editor he has been working on for the past weeks. This editor integrates with the game engine to allow us to quickly produce our games. I'm still working on the scripts for some of those first games we'll release, something I had hoped to have finished sooner as well. Anyway, if we can just find a 3D modelling guy (or girl :P ) and an audio person, then we're all set for alpha/beta testing before the end of next month. I can't wait.
Another big thing to work at is the content management system for the new Nyanko site. I hope to have this done in 1-2 weeks time, after which the new Nyanko site can be launched. Starting tomorrow I'll also be hunting for new paid projects, web development or otherwise, to pay for my bills. Anyone knows some work for me, or of a place where I can find such work? Please leave me a hint :) My contact details are on my main site. Thanks in advance :)
I guess I didn't tell about Koneko yet... in essence it's the first prototype of a rapid prototyping machine, a 3D printer if you wish. The goals for this prototype at this moment are a maximum sample size of 30x30x30 cm and a resolution of 0.5-1 mm. I'm considering making it a semi-open project, to attract the attention of people who might want to add to it. I'm not the type who advocates open source or similar in most situations, and I won't do so here either. My goal is not to share my products with everybody, 99% of whom would just get it because it's free, but to give the final product away or sell it to those, and only sharing what's inside with those who truly care. That, I think is the greatest failing of the Open Source movement, to not really draw out the talent in people, but rather to lazily languish and let the mixture sit on the stove for months or years and hope something happens.
But that's part of another rant. It's time for me to sleep now. My body tells me it's 1.14 AM instead of 12.14 AM and I think I should listen to it :)

ER
Looking back at recent events, I think it's clear that myself and others are putting me under too much stress to make it possible for me to function 'normally'.
Yesterday, shortly after getting up, I started feeling sick and very short of breath, which worsened during the next 1-2 hours until I could hardly breathe anymore. Pieter made an appointment for me with a physician (my own GP doesn't work on weekends) and after sitting there in the waiting room for what seemed like an hour, the physician admitted us.
While I was explaining my condition to her, I began to feel increasingly dizzy, with a tingling sensation in my hands which began spreading over the rest of my body. I felt like I didn't have enough air in my lungs to speak more than 2-3 words at a time, and was preparing to find myself fainting. This didn't happen, however.
The physician checked my lungs but couldn't find anything unusual. After ruling out some common causes like asthma, I was send to the ER of the local hospital. Once there my condition had already somewhat improved and by the time a doctor came to me, he suggested that seeing my current condition it was probably a case of hyperventilating, but that I should come back if it'd happen again.
I really hope I won't have to come back, because feeling like you're just fighting to get some air for hours on end is an everything but pleasant experience. Thing is, though, that my case of apparent hyperventilating is probably caused by the stress I find myself under on a daily basis, with a definite increase after last Tuesday. Everything feels just as pointless again as it did before.
Often I have wondered what it'd be like to hear 'voices' in one's head, and recently I have come to realize that I've been experiencing them for a while now. They're the lingering 'thoughts', or echos which keep bombarding me with the same or similar suggestions and/or try to reason with me in a highly emotional matter. However, they're not 'me' and can not make me do anything until I let them take control, which I refuse. It's still a fight I'm doomed to lose at this rate.
What else did I do this weekend... a while ago already the living room got a makeover, with a new floor, fresh layer of paint and everything, plus a new TV. Yesterday a new cabinet was added to the whole. It being a piece of furniture you have to assemble yourself, it took Pieter and me until earlier today to finish assembling it. Of course we took some time out to eat, sleep and watch movies ;)
In a sense the fact that I'm so different makes me kind of happy because with all my experiences taken into account, there's nothing I'd want to be less than a human...

The Waiting Game
This morning and afternoon were a tad too exciting for me. First there was the excitement over Privatescan informing me that they had mailed me the CD with MRI images as well as the MRI report. To my old address. I happen to know the people who live there now, fortunately, and they know me, so I wrote them a letter informing them that they should send any mail addressed to me to my new address.
Now I called my mother today as well, and she told me that if those people were to send mail to her old address (since she's now staying in France), it'd end up at my aunt's place. Hopefully I'll get this thing settled this week. Privatescan can't help me any further according to them, so if I don't get this package I'm screwed.
The thing is that I made an appointment with the same physician as before at the Erasmus MC. She'll call me next week Wednesday during which talk we'll discuss how to proceed. If they're still willing to help me, of course, seeing as how I got kicked out before. God, I'd like some certainty here...
Today I've actually managed to work quite a bit. The past days I've spent largely on messing around with old computers (a friend gave some old PII, PIII and P4 systems which I intend to use for a cluster for AI research). I've also been programming a number of websites, one the community site (promised to have it done like a month ago now :P ) and another one is a project site for a project I've started based on ReactOS, an Open Source Windows clone. I'll update you guys as soon as I've got this site up. And the community site, of course.
I'm going to bed now seeing as I've managed to go to bed past midnight the past days which hasn't been a good thing for me. So yeah, good night~

Dreaming...
Yesterday night I went out with the girl I had met before and her boyfriend. We went to a local cafe where we spent an hour or so shouting over the loud music and drinking alcoholic beverages. I still haven't fully grasped what part of this experience is considered 'fun', though I must admit it was an improvement over other places where I've been. Sitting next to a speaker which is blasting at 120+ dB is not fun, let alone healthy :P
Before I continue I'd like to apologize to everyone who felt shocked or such after reading my blog on Wednesday. I have talked and apologized to quite a few of them already and come to realize that at least a few people actually care about me. Thank you so much for being there for me. I can't promise that I won't go through another episode like that, as much depends on what happens medically, over which I seem to have little control.
A change seems to have occurred since Wednesday as well. I noticed on Thursday already that my emotional resistance against negative influences seem to be pretty much drained, allowing me to be much more easily affected by the triggers for my traumas, as I noticed last night as well. I've had this headache since yesterday morning as well so I think I'll go to bed again in a moment to catch up on some sleep before going to the cinema with Pieter and some other friends to see the new Indiana Jones movie.
Some reasons why I feel quite broken today include going to bed quite late (1 AM) and dreaming a lot. And I mean a lot. I can remember at least three separate dreams, the first being about someone informing me that this girl I knew vaguely from IRC was actually a transsexual, accompanied by pictures.
The second dream involved the house I currently live in, lots of weird, tiny, insect-like critters who I had to somehow manage. There were also lots of cats in the place. Herding talking insects, in other words. Geez, I must have been tired or so :P
The third dream after which I woke up had this girl I know from primary school expressing serious (sexual) interest in me and we getting it on. The manner in which I experienced this in my dream was the same as before with 'erotic' dreams, namely that I observe it clinically as though from a distance without any erotic feelings present, not even after waking up.
Annoying in this last dream was that while it felt right to be with this girl, her boyfriend was circling around her like a bad omen or so. She ignored him, but every time I saw him it hurt, as though at those times something precious was being torn away from me.
I thought that these dreams were rather interesting as they represent the primary issues which concern me, including trauma's. There's the attempting to gain overview (the insect critters), my primal fear and hatred of psychologists plus medical specialists and as a trigger transsexuals, and finally sexuality, relationships and men as representation of pain, suffering, misunderstanding and downright evil.
These dreams may mean that my subconsciousness is at least attempting to grasp these things and handle them. This would be very welcome, as clearly consciously the answer to the questions they pose elude me completely. I feel quite differently today as well. I'm not sure how to describe this sudden 'shift'... it's like the colours... sensations... everything just has shifted a few millimeters or even centimeters and the world feels very different.
Anyway... I have set myself a few short-term goals to focus on which should help stabilize and improve my mood, as well as my general health. The first one is of course to keep working on my current projects. Secondly save up enough money to get my current computer fixed (need a new mainboard), construct the file server so that I can do proper backups (need a new HDD among other parts), and finally save up enough money to buy a Wii with Wii Fit and the new Harvest Moon game (I love Harvest Moon a lot ;) ). This among paying off my many debts and setting aside some money for my own place (need to get out of this place before the end of the summer).
One day I truly might be happy...

Back To You, Jim~
Well, yesterday's post sure was an example of why I shouldn't drive while dru... er, blog while in emotional turmoil. Reading back, I almost want to slap myself in the face for being so icky and emotional and such. Good thing I'm against violence.
Today I attempted to install this CMS called Moodle for a client and ran almost immediately into a big issue. Accessing the install.php script of it after uploading the CMS's files resulted in a completely blank page. Doing some research, I found that I'm not alone in this issue, but a solution appears to be absent, although it seems to be related to Moodle being picky about PHP settings. This being a shared server, there's a chance of between negative and zero that they'll change the php.ini's settings just for me, especially with me not knowing exactly what the issue is. All I know is that it installed just fine on my laptop, with the latest versions of PHP and MySQL, while the older versions on the webhost are giving issues. My bet is on Moodle simply being poorly written code, with lots of ugly hacks to keep it from falling apart. The friggin' thing is 37 MB unzipped so I can see why they have lost control over it.
*coughs*
Anyway, I'm completely behind on piles of work, and tomorrow I won't have much time to work on it all, so I'll have to be really productive tomorrow when I return from the family gathering. Talking about which, I felt quite miserable earlier today when I realized that I hadn't heard anything yet about the parcel with medicine for my hormone treatment, which I had ordered about 3 weeks ago. Right when I had calmed down from a few emotional outbursts related to this, I got a text message from my mother (I had used her address) that the parcel had arrived. Yay. She'll also be coming to Hoorn tomorrow, just like me, to visit a friend. She'll be taking the parcel with her so that I can pick it up there.
Tomorrow I have to get up at 7.30 AM, the train departs at 8.53, swimming from 10.00 to 12.00, then eating pancakes for a few hours after that. 16.00 I'll pick up the parcel and talk a bit with my mother and friend, to then return home at around 17.00 and back to work ;)
It'll be the first time I'll be swimming in general in about 6 years and the first time ever in bikini. Wish me luck :D
I think my hair is about dry now... time to go to bed. See you all tomorrow :)

Sickeningly Productive~
Last night I went to bed at around 2 AM yet again, but for a very good reason. A conversation and cam session on MSN with a Norwegian friend which started about my epilated eyebrows devolved after a while into another crying and sniffling session from my side. I feel kind of bad for him, exposing him to more of whining me after 5 weeks of it in Norway :P
Anyway, I got up at around 8 AM and from there on the day is a bit of a blur. I remember talking to some people, feeling really tired yet still deciding to continue working on some things I had left lying around for a long time now. I also read over 80 pages of the AD&D handbook I got from Mr Nice Guy, so that I can participate in the gaming with his friends. I feel like writing an AD&D game now :P
Once I'm in Almere I have to find a place where they perform so-called Blend hair removal, which combines laser/IPL with electrolysis. It's the most effective method. Not exactly cheap, but I should get all my money back anyway. I'll be so happy if I get good news the 20th.
Other things to take care of in Almere: buying a bicycle, 'moving' myself to the local branch of my bank, getting my stuff back from the moving company and finding an apartment, the latter being more long-term, obviously. First I need to take care of everything financial so that I can rent something officially in the first place.
I finally wrote down the points I wish to discuss at the VUMC, as they're the things which bother me the most about my IS condition:
- living with multiple identities, with piles of problems because of it.
- An inability to feel truly female, with a virtually invisible (from the outside) and practically unusable vagina, in addition to facial hair growth and all the emotional issues which come with it.
- Health concerns. How my IS condition has already affected me and will affect me in the future if left untreated.
Central in this is also that I don't see the fact that I have a proto-penis as a major obstacle to living a normal life. Yes, it's not 'normal', but nothing can ever change the fact that I was born IS and hell, I am allowed to find it at least somewhat interesting and a part of who I am.
Sometimes you just have to be happy with the things which aren't a problem to begin with.

Exciting New Developments~
So yesterday night I had a nice business talk with my friend and as it turns out we can begin developing 3D games pretty much right now. I had honestly no idea he had done so much work on the game engine while I was occupied with myself. I feel like catching up with him in terms of work done now.
On the housing front some real progress. I got contacted by three people today, one of which had an interesting offer for a room, so I'll be traveling to Enschede this week to check it out. Another offer was interesting too, except that the room wouldn't be available until the first of March, which is, like, kind of impossible for me, as I really want to be done with the housing mess before I have to go to the VUMC on the 13th next month.
Today I also learned some more about where I'll be going to exactly on that day within the gender team. Apparently it's like a subdivision within the gender team which focuses completely on intersexual people without forcing them to be exposed to transsexuals. This is a welcome development. I still felt a bit weird while reading the article on the AISNederland.nl site, though. It seems that there's still a lot of emotional junk to deal with regarding my condition. At least I don't go into shock anymore whenever I read anything related to transsexuals.
Anyway, tomorrow I'll be arranging some things related to my trip to the other side of the country, but above all I'll be working on NyanKana. Now with some members in the testing teams (English and Japanese) and the translator (English to Japanese) standing by, I can't be slacking off right now :)
See you all tomorrow, you slackers~ :P

Continuing...
Today I encountered a series of contradicting forces. Everything started off right; I awoke around 7 AM, got dressed and had breakfast. Afterwards I sat down behind my laptop and prepared for the backing up of data and the re-installation of Windows on the darned thing. As I was working on the preparations whilst checking some news sites and blogs like I do every morning, I began to feel more and more tired, until around 10 AM I could barely keep my eyelids open. At that point I knew I had to sleep some more.
I woke up again around noon, feeling groggy and disoriented, but still hungry enough to eat lunch. I also got a phone call from the lady of the house informing me that she had made an appointment for me with a psychologist here in Zaandam, as previously discussed. When she told me how the psychologist lady had responded when my story was explained to her, especially about my previous troubles with psychologists, I knew that this was a different type of psychologist. I can't wait to see her tomorrow and talk for a while.
So in the end I didn't reinstall Windows today, meaning that my work on NyanKana and the new websites has slowed down again. I did however respond to a few advertisements for housing in Enschede. With some luck I'll get a positive response and be able to view the places for myself this or next week and move in shortly afterwards.
As you might have guessed, today I'm not very emotional, but still very occupied with the events of yesterday. It seems to have drained a lot of my strength, as I also noticed by the fact that my cold got a lot worse today. It's one of the reasons why I'm feeling so sleepy and out of things. At least I still haven't lost my desire to work on NyanKana and such like mad. I'll get to that tomorrow ASAP.
I'll be back tomorrow for more~

And On Today's Episode...
No, today no stories about random guys falling in love with me and nearly assaulting me in public places. Instead I've got some really boring tales again about my continuing struggles in life. Don't you all feel lucky? :D
Hmm... where to start. This morning I started to seriously hunt for houses. From one place I had contacted I got a response back that they were not looking for any more single-, but only multi-person applications. Unfortunately I know of no one who might want to live together with me, so that's quite unlikely. I haven't heard anything back from the other place I submitted my application to.
What does seem to help is the advertisement I placed on Hyves. Got a few responses on that already. One woman offered me a place in Arnhem, which is not that close to Enschede, so I'm not sure, but it might serve as a temporary spot until I get a more steady income, at which point I could opt for regular places for rent.
Another option is to stay in a student house, an option which has a number of benefits. First of all it's rather cheap, secondly it can be fun to stay with others, thirdly I'm assured of internet ;) Naturally I have to share everything except what's in my (single) room, but if I get to stay in a clean place with nice people (girls?), this shouldn't be a big issue, and I don't mind exploring my social side a bit more.
Of course, it's not all roses and sunshine at this point. There are still things like the people who own the place not liking me for not applying under my official name since I refuse to use anything but my real name unless I'm forced to (like when traveling by plane). This may lead to them asking the reason behind it, and with a wide variety of possible responses from their side. I'll see.
My mother sent me the original analysis report from the German clinic today by mail, so I'll receive it tomorrow. I'll be sending my physician a scanned copy of it, together with the request to refer me to a certain doctor in the VUMC in Amsterdam, with whom I'll be making an appointment tomorrow for a consult. My physician still refuses to prescribe me the medicines for the hormone treatment since she doesn't see why it'd be necessary I take them or so (no indication from a doctor), which means that in a few days I'll be ordering them online again. Hopefully for the last time.
Tomorrow I'll also be sending a copy of the analysis report with the complaint letter to the complaint commission of the VUMC. Within two weeks I should then receive a reply from them back, followed by a conclusion in around three months. I'll be so happy once I get a positive response back from them so that I can finally put this all behind me and focus on the road which lies ahead of me.
A lot happened today, and even more will happen tomorrow. Now it's time for sleep in my big, old queen-sized bed. Speak you all tomorrow.

So Yeah...
First of all, I apologize for my post yesterday. I must have gotten pretty upset after I got the karyotype results, not just because of it but mainly because of so many things connected to it. I had intended to write a follow-up post yesterday, but I had to go to bed already since I had to get up at 6 AM, since the complaint letter I had written that night had to be checked and mailed off the next day, before the woman I'm staying with had to leave for her work.
So this morning she woke me up just after 6 and checked my letter. She thought it was too long and emotional, so I had to correct it first and mail it off tomorrow. Ah well, it's the weekend anyway. As long as they receive it on Monday it's fine.
It's hard to believe that it has been just two days since I arrived here from Canada. It feels as though I've been here for weeks already, which was one reason why I got so upset about not everything working out immediately yet. At this point I'm still only in the initial phase of arranging things. I sent my physician an email yesterday informing her that my mother has the information (CD with MRI images and the analysis report) she wants. She didn't respond yet today, however. I see it as the last chance on helping me which I'm giving her. If the proof of my IS condition isn't enough to make her prescribe medicine and refer me to a specialist, I'll just find another physician who does want to help me.
I'm also still working on finding a place to stay in Enschede. So far I've asked my younger brother and some friends in that city to look out for something, and put myself on the candidate list for two places which rent out apartments, houses and more. If they call me I know I've got something. Else I'm in trouble, because I can't stay here where I am now, nor do I want that.
I think this is what they call being caught between a rock and a hard place. Lovely.

Business Things~
Today I woke up late again just like yesterday at around 10 AM. Going to bed at close to 2 AM doesn't help I guess :P I seem to be napping a lot lately, though.
This day wasn't all wasted on gaming for a change. I got the framework for NyanKana finished, and I also got confirmation that I got a nice little project involving porting some code from one language to another.
I also might have found a place to live. Via a site which rents out places which are waiting to be renovated or demolished, or sometimes the owners of it just have a hard time finding someone to rent it for the regular price, I got the option of living in a number of Dutch cities. I think I may just end up living in Enschede :)
Today was also filled with more emotional things about my sexuality. My friend and I talked a lot about it, with me once more expressing my discomfort with my current situation, my desire to get the surgery and the many unknowns surrounding the latter.
Sometimes I wish I had never met the girlfriend of the friend I stayed at in Norway. She's so similar to me in many respects, and her life (in my eyes) so screwed up that I feel like it personally matters to me. She has basically become the focal point of everything which is wrong and has to be fixed, also in myself. I don't think she realizes this, and if she does, she either doesn't or can't care. Yes, it's somewhat of an obsession to me :(
I feel that because of it I have to learn Norwegian and visit her again this year, just so that I can wrap things up. I hope that I can do this after I've had my surgery, as it'd definitely cause some huge emotional landslides for me.
Anyway, it's bed time for me. It's nearly 2 AM already :(

Jewelry~
Today my friend and I went to do some shopping. He bought me some bracelets, a keyring with my sign (Virgo) and a small statue of an elf :) I've never had this much jewelry before :D
We had an intense brainstorming session on how to implement part of NyanKana today as well, which was very productive. Tomorrow I'll be working as much as possible to implement it.
And yes, we did more gaming today. We finished about half of Zelda Twilight Princess so far~
I hope to have more to talk about tomorrow,

Moving Quickly...
Just a few short notes before I leave for the city: yesterday my friend came to the apartment and I informed him about my thoughts. He took it quite well, although he was of course feeling disappointed. We then took some of my things and left for his house, where I'm currently staying. Today we'll be taking the last things out of the apartment.
We'll also be visiting a beauty clinic today, to see if they can do some hair removal before I leave for The Netherlands so that I won't have to rush there. I hope it goes well.
Further my friend and I are trying to have a good time this last week, with playing lots of games and other activities together. It's fun so far :)
Talk to you soon,
Maya
